A striking Egyptian Revival door knocker and accompanying strike plate, cast in brass and finished in a dark paint with gold highlights. This piece is modelled after a Pharaonic head or Sphinx, featuring the iconic Nemes headdress, with a decorative ring acting as the knocker.
Distinctive from the norm with the painted finish and crucially is complete with original strike plate.
Length: 15.5 cm Width: 8.75 cm Diameter: 4.5 cm
In great condition with slight wear and patination commensurate with age and use.
