A pair of cobalt blue ceramic pottery vases featuring hand enamelled gilt and silver detailing of flying birds and foliage.
Impressed 'England' mark on the bottom. I've been unable to find another example however they're late 19th century pieces and I assume produced in-line with the Japonisme craze which swept over Europe. The enamel style and use of cobalt is similar to pieces produced by Royal Crown Derby.
Have some wear commensurate with age and use in the form of light scratches and wear to enamel, a few tiny fleabite chips to one of the rims.
Height: 4" / 10.25 cm - Diameter: 3.25" / 8.25 cm
Slightly different in form but have a mirrored design.
