This rare Georgian Staffordshire pearlware figure features a jovial countryman holding a frothing mug of ale and a walking stick while standing on a green mound base.
Showcasing vibrant hand-painted enamels including a cobalt blue overcoat and a pink lustre waistcoat typical of the early 19th century / Georgian period and serves as a classic example of early 19th-century folk-art character ware with a distinct pearlware glaze.
Height: 16.25 cm
In good overall condition with a couple of flakes to enamel and a chip to the back underside corner of the base. I have been unable to find another example of this model.
