A highly detailed English Chinoiserie design plate executed in the Imari palette. The centre features a large, exotic, long-tailed bird (likely a pheasant) perched on a branch surrounded by oversized peony and chrysanthemum blossoms, with a stylized rock formation and foliage.

The entire image is defined by thick, rich colours with extensive gold gilt highlighting the bird, flowers, and border motifs. The outer edge is a heavily lobed or "spiked" rim, which is also decorated with repeating geometric and floral panels outlined in gold.

Unmarked but attributable to Mason's Ironstone, produced circa 1820.

Diameter: 23.5 cm

In good condition with some light surface wear.
