A lovely late Georgian period scalloped plate showcasing a rich design in deep cobalt blues, iron reds, and touches of salmon and green.
The central medallion depicts a stylized rock and scroll landscape, surrounded by flourishing peony flowers (symbolizing prosperity) and prunus blossoms. The design is finished with generous hand-applied gilding. The rim is distinctly decorated with an outer band of segmented decoration, comprised of alternating, stylized floral elements interspersed with gilt floral design.
Diameter: 26 cm
With Mason's Ironstone crown mark on underside produced circa 1830-35.
In great overall condition with gilt well intact.
