A fine example of Georgian pearlware pottery in the form of a rarely seen weighing scale / counter plate with raised rim decorated in a willow pattern.
Diameter: 27.5 cm - Height: 2 cm
Produced circa 1770, possibly by Joshua Heath of Hanley based upon the willow pattern variation, although I have seen no other examples of their work using a leaf mark like on this piece. Heath was one of the earliest producers of blue-printed wares in England.
With sticker indicating it was once apart of the Geoffrey Fisk collection.
With a couple of chips to rim - one restored.
