A striking Persian Qajar-Era decorative plate, charger, or tray, likely dating to the late 19th / turn of the 20th Century.
It is crafted from copper and features a rich, contrasting finish achieved through tinning. The piece utilizes the repoussé technique (hammered high-relief) in the central panel, depicting two stylized birds surrounded by intricate foliage and floral motifs. The deeply-wrought border repeats a pattern of stylized leaves and vines.
Diameter: 29.5 cm
In great condition with slight wear and patination commensurate with age and use.
