Early Bretby Ceramic Pottery Table Centrepiece Stand 19th Century Majolica Swans

A 19th Century Bretby majolica table centrepiece stand moulded as swans swimming around a central column.

Interestingly has an early incised design number 15 and no Bretby mark.Other examples I've managed to find which are very similar but with slight differences either has the Bretby mark and/or much later design numbers. I think this will be the prototype model for any other Bretby swan centrepieces. Produced c.1883.

In good overall condition with some slight wear and one faint crack to the base (view final two photos)

Diameter: 29 cm - Height: 16 cm - Stand diameter (Max→internal): 14.5 → 10 cm: - Weight: 3.4 KG
