A pair of 18th century Dutch Delftware baluster vases featuring faceted octagonal bodies with classic ribbed panelling.
Hand-painted in rich cobalt blue underglaze over a white tin glaze, each vase exhibits a prominent Rococo-style cartouche surrounded by moulded scrollwork and shell motifs.
Inside the central panels, matching coastal or riverbank scenes depict seated and standing figures, a distant windmill, sailboat, and flying birds.
The reverse side is decorated with a minimalist motif, while the sides carry delicate floral sprigs, all resting on a wavy blue line along the foot rim.
Expected age-related wear is present, including minor chipping / glaze losses around the upper rims and base edges and one hairline crack.
Height: 18.5 cm - Base dimensions: 8.5 x 8 cm
