Offered separately a Staffordshire oval lead-glazed earthenware dish moulded in low relief, painted and transfer-printed in underglaze blue. Decorated in the chinoiserie taste with the Pagodas pattern, which is framed by a band of basket weave ornament whilst the rim consists of a looped openwork edge.
Produced by the firm circa 1785, perhaps by one of his sons John or William as an expert on the company kindly advised that the 'TURNER' impression is likely the variant used by them. The design was created by John the elder but he passed away in 1787, he also produced two earlier designs but this is the first to use the pin punched copper plates technique. The V&A museum also have one in their collection.
Both are in great condition, there is 1 tiny hairline crack to each towards the rim (view final 2 photos)
Dimensions: 25.5 x 21.5 cm
