A beautiful 19th century porcelain wall pocket featuring a high-relief naturalistic botanical design.
The piece showcases a trio of highly detailed scabious flowers, also known as pincushion flowers, with textured green centres and pink petals. These are set against a large, deeply veined heart-shaped leaf background.
Featuring an integrated ribbon-style loop for hanging with elegant gold gilt accents.
Reminiscent of George Jones' botanical designs but is possibly of continental origin.
Dimensions: 26.5 x 21.5 cm - Depth: 12 cm - Weight: 1350g
In great condition considering its age and fragility, with just a couple of small chips to leaves / petals.
