A stunning Chinese Shiwan pottery garden stool featuring a highly textural faux bois design meticulously sculpted to resemble a natural tree stump with gnarled bark and hollow cut-outs.
The ceramic barrel seat is finished in a vibrant, thickly pooled glaze of olive green and rich amber tones.
A beautiful and substantial piece of Asian decorative art, with two distinct impressed square seal marks reading "Made in the Great Qing State" along with the "Guangdong" workshop location mark on the interior.
Height: 40.25 cm - Diameter: 32 cm - Weight: 9kg
With some restoration (view final photo) - I would advise strengthening this section if wanting to sit on it and would be willing to do that for you if desired. Displays very well and could also be used as a stand.
