Frank Hider 1861-1933 Antique British Marine Oil Painting Cornish Coast Art

Frank Hider (1861-1933) was a prolific British landscape painter known for extensive coastal views and far-reaching river landscapes. He was born in London and travelled extensively around the British Isles.

This coastal scene of his depicts a Cornish shore that features tender boats transporting crew to large sailing ships in the sea. Captured in a wonderful array of colours this is an exemplary example of Hider's artistry.

In great overall condition with a small hard to spot indent on the dark cliff face (shown in second to last photo)
