A mid 19th-century Victorian relief-moulded earthenware pitcher in the John Barleycorn pattern, produced by Ridgway & Abington (or E. J. Ridgway). The off-white body features an intricate raised lattice and diamond-weave texture overlaid with detailed stalks and sheaves of wheat wrapping around the body and neck. The piece finished with a matching moulded rim and organic-style handle.
The interior is fully glazed for functional use, while the exterior showcases the soft, matte finish characteristic of Victorian relief stoneware. It remains in good antique condition with light age-related surface marks.
Height: 17.5 cm
