An unusual Staffordshire figure group depicting a couple standing near a well, a common scene in Staffordshire pottery but I have been unable to find another of this specific model.
Featuring a female figure in the foreground holding a water jug, and a male figure sat behind also holding a jug. The well structure, made of earthenware and painted orange contains a spout with flowing water. A large, brown, leafy tree is positioned at the back of the group.
Produced mid 19th century.
Height: 19.75 cm - Length/width: 10.5 x 5.5 cm
In great overall condition with minimal surface wear.
