A large 19th-century bisque porcelain figure of a female warrior, likely Saint Joan of Arc or perhaps the goddess Athena/Minerva, standing in a classical posture with a matte, unglazed finish, dressed in a flowing gown with military accoutrements including a breastplate, sword, shield bearing a lion rampant, and a laurel wreath crown with further wreath in her hand. The base is painted to give a marble-like effect.
The lion design on her shield seems to be a later addition, I think beneath was a heraldic eagle.
Displays very well but with restoration to her arm and a crack on the base (view final 3 photos)
Height: 42 cm - Base diameter: 16 cm - Weight: 3.4 KG
