Antique Botanical Still Life Flowers Watercolour Painting Jean Baptiste Monnoyer

A beautiful antique watercolour and gouache painting of a floral still life in an urn presented in a dark oak frame.

The composition features a vibrant and dramatic bouquet of flowers, including large pink peonies or tulips, red roses, and smaller blue and yellow blossoms, all spilling from an ornate classical bronze urn detailed with figural elements.

This painting is executed after the composition of the highly influential 17th-century French flower painter Jean Baptiste Monnoyer. A high-quality late 19th or early 20th-century homage to his work.

This piece is perfect for a collector of botanical art, period interiors, or traditional still life painting.
