Trio of Staffordshire Pearlware Chinoiserie Soup Plate Bowl 19th Century Antique

A set of three early 19th century Georgian period Staffordshire pearlware soup plates displaying a classic blue and white transferware design in the Chinoiserie style.

Each deep plate features a central scene depicting stylized Asian architecture, lush foliage including palm trees, and figures in traditional oriental dress standing alongside a horse.

Surrounding the centre is a wide, decorative rim adorned with an ornate floral and geometric border.

Crafted in blue transfer print over a pearlware glazed ceramic base, this trio reflects the popular European fascination with East Asian motifs during the early 1800s.
